Keyshia Cole & Daniel Gibson Welcome New Baby

Aww, such a sweet thang: R&B-soul powerhouse Keyshia Cole and Basketball playing boyfriend Daniel Gibson have welcomed a "new life" into the family. Their baby boy; Daniel Hiram Gibson, JR came in on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 11:54 a.m. With updates from Keyshia's close friend (R&B diva Monica) and a few details from some insiders, looks like Keyshia and the baby are just fine.

Congrats to Keyshia and Daniel, we all know (without crazy ass Frankie and Neffe in the picture as much), she will be able to remain stress free and focus on her new child. We're sure she'll make a good mother and hopefully Daniel SR has no tricks up his sleeve and he takes up responsibility as a father.

But who knows? We don't wanna curse Keyshia and her little family too soon, but drama seems to follow her wherever she goes... thanks to her ghetto bird mama and hoodrat sister.

Nicki Minaj : Bisexual?!?!

2008, 2009 and now even 2010 has brought out more stars, more movies and.. more confidence in celebrities' sexual orientation. One might be able to recall some of the celebrities who showed pride in their "same sex" orientations such as; Rosie O' Donnell, Fran Drescher, Ellen Degeneres, Wanda Sykes, Lance Bass, Adam Lambert.. and now even Young Money Princess.. Nicki Minaj.

While Miss Bedrock has come up, releasing a few mixtapes and being blessed into the Young Money crew; not too many people would guess that Miss Minaj would be the one openly discussing being more into the same sex. But for those who can't really seem to believe it - - BELIEVE IT.

A Youtube video interview that she did with VLADTV That was posted in '09 asks how you should approach her.. she confidently answered "I like for girls to approach me.." then she smiles before adding "guys are you know..they're just duuuddes, they have no fun parts that I can squeeze." I'm not saying there's anything wrong with being bisexual, men even have come to accept and embrace it and thing of it as sexy, but really do you think it's safe (yes I'm going a little biblical here) to say that it's a sin?

The debating begins.. People drop your comments down below!

Tupac vs Lil Wayne : Battle Of The Best-es PT I

2pac <>
Lil Wayne > 2pac..

There has been a battle of the two emcees since Lil Wayne broke into the industry before he was even considered a rapper (when he was in the rap group The Hot Boyz). But over the time that Wayne has been walking amongst us in this industry a lot of people have accused him of trying to take the place of one of the greatest rappers.. PERIOD;

That is.. 2pac Shakur. 2pac, who came into this music world and changed our warped perceptions on how rap music can be viewed; Left us all in a dark spot when he was murdered on September 13, 1996 while coming back from a Mike Tyson fight with Death Row label mate Suge Knight. Some would say that Pac's death was reliant on him being involved in the "East Coast vs West Coast" feud that ultimately claimed rapper Notorious BIG's life a year later in '97, Pac's music is still relevant.. even today.. even with rappers like Lil Wayne and his Young Money squad creepin' on ah come up.

While some think that 2pac's music was mediocre and of no real substance and was nothing but pure, vulgar and obscene trash that exploited women and talked about murdering his enemies and then even times when he looked into his own demise; his music was way more relevant and constructive than that. Yes, 2pac has been dead since 1996 and some people figure since he's been deceased for almost 14 years, we should automatically just embrace a new star and let them come in and fill in their place. But us 2pac fans already know.. PHAT CHANCE.

What 2pac did and can still do in death is a true sign of his larger than life force. According to a rare edition of XXL and Vibe magazine in 2010, 2pac STILL outsells Lil Wayne and Young Money COMBINED by over 6.3 million albums sold and song downloads via Rhapsody, Rapidshare, Youtube etc.

So for all the music fans, young and old tell me who do YOU think is truly the better rapper? 2pac or Lil Wayne? drop ya comments below..

Cassie : Aaliyah Swagger Jacker?

Cassie, Cassie, Cassie..Where shall we begin on this PYT's lingering "music career?" Being rumored to be with Hip-Hop stars: Ryan Leslie & Diddy who are also respectful label mates, Cassie's career sits upon whether or not she should have even been considered an actual musical talent amongst the rest of the industrial elite. Showing no true signs of being a creative force within her music and hitting notes that any Kindergarden or 1st grader could just by simply humming; Cassie isn't the typical songstress.

Some have come to believe that Miss Ventura was embraced as a "music sensation" simply because of her looks, while others speculate on the "F*cking For Tracks" theory. While both in a sense seem true, whatever the reason one can't help but notice Cassie's..erm.."style." While others seem to credit her as being "unique & original" others who were followrs of R&B / Hip-Hop music before Cassie was even conceived, already have seen someone with pretty much the same style. Who is that some of you newcomers may ask?

None other than actual R&B singer..

AALIYAH.

Aaliyah Dana Haughton (or just Aaliyah) sang her way into hearts worldwide when she broke through the industry with her debut album "Age Ain't Nothing But A Number" circa 1994. Being mainly written and produced by the crooner him-self R Kelly; Aaliyah's debut album was certified Gold by the RIAA not even a few months after it's release. Releasing 3 smash hits such as; "Back and Forth, Age Ain't Nothing But A Number and At Your Best (an Isley Brothers classic remake), Aaliyah proved that she was already on her way to becoming the hottest thing to the industry and she wasn't even 16!

Her trademark style consisting of; dark shades, baggy clothes and the Veronica Lake inspired swoop over the left eye (or sometimes she'd switch it up to the right) Aaliyah solidified herself as a true Hip Hop baby when she teamed up with then unknown beat makers; Timabaland and Missy Elliot. Taking a brief time to graduate high school, Aaliyah reappeared on the scene with her 1997 album "One In A Million." Several hits were also released from this one including; If Your Girl Only Knew, One In A Million, Hot Like Fire and The One I Gave My Heart To" Aaliyah became ironically the title of her song (Hot Like Fire). She began appearing in other artists' videos and was immediately signed to Missy Elliot's pre-formed group "Superfriends Clique" along with rapper Magoo, Timbaland and Ginuwine.

But with a blink of an eye all of that was taken away. On August 25, 2001 while shooting the video for her latest single "Rock The Boat" Aaliyah along with other members of her entourage were killed in a fatal plane crash. She was only 22 years old. But eerily enough, 5 years almost to the exact date of Aaliyah's death.. while most music fans were still mourning over the R&B beauty's passing, a new "star" came into place. That "star" was CASSIE.

Releasing her self-titled debut album in August of 2006, Cassie's "signature image" somehow came to be very much similar to the trademark image of Aaliyah's. The swoop over one eye, the smooth and breathy vocals and the overall persona was very reminiscent of Aaliyah's 5 years earlier. Then came the instant comparisons. Was Cassie being molded into the respectful "upgrade" of Aaliyah? Or was she just straight up swagger jacking.

While their are pictures that are very much questionable to whether or not Diddy was behind having her image shaped after Aaliyah's (whom Diddy was also good friends with, for years). There's even a Youtube video that has been posted that shows numerous pictures comparing the two and it's actually kind of interesting.

In some pictures she is standing in the same exact pose, in others her hair is fixed the same (swoop and all) and even interviews where she tries to attain that same mysterious quality about herself that Aaliyah did without effort. There are also other things that point to a swagger jacker but we'll save that for if there's to be a part 2.

But for now.. what do you guys think? Is Cassie's so called "influenced Aaliyah style" kind of ridiculous? Or do you think it's just a homage? Drop a comment and speak your mind..
